Class Registration

Unless otherwise specified, advance registration is required for all classes and related programs. Places will be held only upon receipt of full tuition. Tuitions are not refundable for Preschool. Tuitions are refundable for other classes and workshops (unless noted) minus a $15 processing fee per class up to seven days before a class is to begin. Tuitions are nonrefundable after that time unless class limits are reached or a program is canceled. Supplies and equipment costs are included in the tuition unless otherwise noted. An asterisk (*) after “Tuition” for some classes denotes that a list of needed supplies is available at the Atrium Reception Desk.

ARTVENTURE: CREATIVE COOKING
Ages 8–13
Artventure I: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, June 23, 25, 27, 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Artventure II: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, August 18, 20, 22, 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
(each Artventure = 3 sessions, 4 ½ hours)
The ARTcafe’s consulting chef has planned exciting summer menus to introduce young chefs to the creative world of cooking. Participants will create delicious, quick meals ranging from pasta dishes to dessert in our caterer’s kitchen.

ARTVENTURE: DRAWING AND PAINTING
Ages 7–9
Monday–Friday, June 23–27, Session I: 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Ages 10–13
Monday–Friday, June 23–27, Session II: 1:00–3:30 p.m.
(5 sessions, 12 ½ hours)
Draw and paint from observation or your imagination while learning the fundamental concepts of color, composition, shape, line, and value. Express yourself with a variety of materials, including pencil, pastel, charcoal, and paint.

Tuition: $80 ($64 member)

ARTVENTURE: ANIMATION

Ages 10–14
Mondays–Fridays, July 7–18, 1:00–3:30 p.m.
(10 sessions, 25 hours)
Explore animation concepts, character development, plot sequencing, and movie editing. Students will work with a variety of basic animation techniques, and stop-motion claymation. Students should bring their own digital cameras.

Tuition: $150 ($140 member)

ARTVENTURE: CERAMICS
Ages 7–11
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, July 7–18, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
(6 sessions, 12 hours)
Your child will have great fun with clay as s/he explores wheel throwing and hand building to create unique jewelry, vessels, sculptures, wall reliefs, games, and more.

ARTVENTURE: METAL FORMING
Ages 10–14
Monday–Friday, July 28– August 1
Session I: 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Session II: 1:00–3:30 p.m.
(5 sessions 12 ½ hours)
Using a variety of jewelry materials such as copper, brass, colored wire, self-hardening clay, paper, and beads, participants will create rings, bracelets, pendants, pins, bookmarks, and earrings. Basic metal forming techniques will be emphasized.
