Classes for Children

Class Registration

Unless otherwise specified, advance registration is required for all classes and related programs. Places will be held only upon receipt of full tuition. Tuitions are not refundable for Preschool. Tuitions are refundable for other classes and workshops (unless noted) minus a $15 processing fee per class up to seven days before a class is to begin. Tuitions are nonrefundable after that time unless class limits are reached or a program is canceled. Supplies and equipment costs are included in the tuition unless otherwise noted. An asterisk (*) after “Tuition” for some classes denotes that a list of needed supplies is available at the Atrium Reception Desk.

TODDLER ART TIME
Ages 2–3 (with an adult)
Tuesdays, March 4–18 and April 1–15, 9:30–10:30 a.m.
(6 sessions, 6 hours)
Introduce your child to art in a playful learning environment. Investigate line, shape, color, pattern, and texture through paint, clay, and textiles.
Instructor: Keely Phippen
Tuition (per pair): $60 ($51 member)

STUDIO ART TIME
Ages 4–6
Thursdays, March 6–20 and April 3–17, 1:00–2:30 p.m.
(6 sessions, 9 hours)
Nurture your child’s creativity with drawing, painting, ceramics, collage, sculpture, and gallery visits.
Instructor: Erica Huntzinger
Tuition: $90 ($77 member)

ART EXPLORATIONS
Ages 7–9 Thursdays, March 6–20, and April 3–17, 3:45–5:15 p.m.
(6 sessions, 9 hours)
Students will use a variety of twoand three-dimensional media to explore the Arts Center’s spring theme, Constructed Realities. Each session will also include a gallery visit. Instructor: Erica Huntzinger

AFTER-SCHOL CERAMICS
Ages 10–14 Mondays and Wednesdays, April 14–30, 3:45–5:15 p.m.
(6 sessions, 9 hours)
Have great fun with clay as you explore wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques such as coiling and slab building to create unique vessels, sculptures, jewelry, wall pieces, and even games made of clay! Instructor: Andrea Maass Andersen
