Technically stunning...emotionally raw. –The New York Times
Guggenheim fellow Reggie Wilson draws from blues, slave, and gospel
cultures to create dance that is at once witty, serious, soft,
and fierce. Wilson's partnership with Fist & Heel, whose
movements are set to the driving rhythms produces by body percussion
and voiced breathe, is a powerful combination in which age-old
rituals emerge as beautiful, energizing contemporary art.
