The John Michael Kohler Arts Center's mission is to "encourage and support innovative explorations in the arts and to foster an exchange between a national community of artist and a broad public that will help realize the power of the arts to inspire and transform our world." The Arts Center celebrates this mission through curated exhibitions, artist-in-residence programs, community-based art programs, performing arts, preschool, and other vital programs. In the United States, questions surrounding diversity in language, culture, religion and sexuality; environmental and economic concerns; changes in political landscapes; and a host of other everyday issues drive the need to explore our values. In What Matters Most..., you are invited to give form to these explorations. Utilize imagery or objects in a collage representing your own values. Critique or examine prevalent values in your city, state, country, or the world in an assemblage. Trace the transformation of values in your own family through the generations. Any and all visual commentaries on our societal values are welcome. Terms Of Use |
