Students, teachers, family, and friends are invited to honor young artists from throughout Sheboygan County at the annual Youth Art Month Celebration, March 5, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan.
This festive event highlights the Youth Art Month exhibition that features hundreds of works created by area schoolchildren, on view through April 2. Now in its 31st year, the show celebrates the multifaceted talents and artistic achievements of Sheboygan County’s youth while recognizing and applauding the devoted art educators who encourage and guide these young artists.
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center has announced the selection of 15 artists to participate in its prestigious Arts/Industry program during 2017.
Artists-in-residence for 2017 include Ghada Amer (NY), Liz Ensz (IL), Samantha Fields (MA), Michelle Grabner (WI), Mary Anne Kluth (CA), Marie Lorenz (NY), Johana Moscoso (IL), Joel Otterson (CA), Elinor Portnoy (UK), Amélie Proulx (Quebec), Kate Roberts (WA), Kevin Sampson (NJ), Edra Soto (IL), Tomas Vu (NY), and Robert Wysocki (NY).
Now in its 44th year, Arts/Industry is a residency program of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wis. It is made possible by major support from Kohler Co.
