The Twenty-second annual Youth Art Month Exhibition includes two- and three-dimensional works of art by approximately 300 Sheboygan County public and private school students from kindergarten through grade twelve. All works on view were selected for exhibition by the students’ art teachers. With a wide array of media represented (paint, pen and ink, photography, collage, clay, and more) and subject matter ranging from portraits to landscapes, animals, and abstract compositions, the exhibition will inspire you with its fresh perspectives. The diverse expressions contained in the Youth Art Month Exhibition remind us that the arts not only foster students’ creativity, but also strengthen their self-awareness, self-esteem, and critical-thinking skills, and should remain a vital part of our children’s education.
