This summer's exhibition at the Arts Center's ARTspace gallery in Kohler Village celebrates the decorative. Natasha Wozniak (NY) and Mick Gronek (CA) explore their own unique visual "signature" while staying focused on the formal qualities of fanciful and sensuous line, and the spare yet luxurious use of gold in combination with other materials. The gold and blackened silver jewelry of Wozniak references the intricate metalwork she discovered in her travels to Nepal and Tibet while it also alludes to the wrought-iron forms that surround her Brooklyn neighborhood. Gronek creates large-scale paintings by applying patinas on copper, producing an alchemical transformation with layers of color. Don't miss this vibrant exhibition. All works are available for purchase.
