As we thaw out and look to spring for a fresh beginning, visit the ARTspace gallery for inspiration in the form of exciting apparel and unlikely accessories. This exhibition presents limited edition wearable collections from contemporary artists working in wool, silk, felt, and leather. Also find jewelry, handbags, and hats to accessories your new look.
Alison Dryer (MD) presents fun vintage designs in her handbag collection. Her surprising patterns and textures come from scavenging unusual fabrics from the garment district and the interior design warehouses of New York City. Based in Woodstock, NY, Sanchia Playfair hand weaves lightweight cashmere shawls and scarves in bright shades of spring and sleek urban designs. Playfair also creates linen hats with sophisticated silhouettes. Other artists included in the exhibition are Theresa Buffo (IL), Leni Hoch (PA), Lisa Klakulak (NC), and Amber Mahler (NY).
All works in this exhibition are available for purchase with proceeds from sales going toward the support of the Arts Center and its educational mission.
