A Flourish of Gold

Mick Gronek, Crest (detail), patina on copper.

The ARTspace gallery in Kohler Village presented an exhibition that celebrates the decorative through jewelry, painting, and ceramics. Wisconsin-native Natasha Wozniak (NY) finds inspiration for her jewelry collections in the elaborate metalwork seen on her travels through Nepal and Tibet, as well as from the wrought-iron forms surrounding her Brooklyn neighborhood. Mick Gronek (CA) builds layers of color and pattern applying patinas on copper to create rich paintings that swirl and dance within their large frames. And Julia Galloway (NY) makes elegant porcelain forms that enliven domestic spaces with glimmers of gold. On both grand and intimate scales, the dazzling hints of gold and sensuous lines inspire and illuminate. All works in this exhibition are available for purchase. Arts Center members receive a 10% discount.
