Visitor Services Associate – Full time

33–36 hours per week, evenings and weekends.  Hours may vary.

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is seeking an outgoing, guest-focused individual who greets all visitors, directs incoming calls and performs a variety of other tasks.   

General duties include providing general information, handling a multi-line telephone system, administrative tasks, security-related duties, and sales of Arts Center offerings including performances, classes, and workshops using an integrated database system.  

The Visitor Services Associate must be able to provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding the Arts Center’s exhibitions, performances, classes, special events, retail shop and café.

Position Requirements:

  • 2 – 3 years administrative experience, preferably in a box office or administrative support.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Versai.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills necessary to interact with staff and the public.
  • Attention to detail, conscientiousness, and trustworthiness is a must.
  • Reliable problem solver with good time management skills as well as the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.  
  • High school diploma required.
  • Flexibility in schedule with some holiday, evening and weekend hours required.
