Masako Miyata’s work reflects on small segments of her life in the United States and Japan. Through her creative process, she attempts to look both east and west with fresh perception. Miyata teaches art at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She studied painting and ceramics at the Art Institute of Chicago.
