Mia Mulvey addresses the recording of time, climate change, and our relationship to remote landscapes. This line of inquiry is supported by her overall creative practice and interest in the interplay between art and science, and ceramics and technology. Her work has been shown in numerous venues, such as Denver Art Museum (CO), American Museum of Ceramic Art (CA), ASU Ceramic Research Center (AZ), and Goodwin Fine Art (CO).

She is a recipient of a Colorado Council on the Arts fellowship and a PROF grant from the University of Denver. She has been in residence at Arts/Industry at Kohler Co. (WI), Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center (Denmark), the Arctic Circle (Svalbard), and The Montello Foundation (NV). She received her BFA from Arizona State University and her MFA from Cranbrook Academy. Mulvey is a professor of studio art at the University of Denver.
