Wonjoo Park

Wonjoo Park is a sculptor who explores the power of the vulnerable. Her mixed-media vocabulary includes paper, slumped glass, and wood.
Park’s work has been exhibited at Kim Chong Yung Museum (South Korea), Sculpture Center (NY), Store Gallery (UK), and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Korea). Park has been an artist-in-residence at Drawing Space Saalgoo (Korea), Jyderup (Denmark), Flax Art Studios (Ireland), the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Arts/Industry at Kohler Co. (WI), and Pilchuck Glass School (WA), among others. In 2012 the Arts Council Korea named her one of the top one hundred contemporary Korea artists. Her work has appeared in Sculpture Magazine.
Park received her BFA and MFA in sculpture from Sungshin Women’s University.
