Richard Posner

Richard Posner was a public-art artist, architectural glass designer, ceramicist, and an environmental garden designer. His specialty was large outdoor public projects, and his artwork and installations are characterized by intelligent content and plays on words, themes, and materials.

He received four Fulbright fellowships, two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, and a Jackson Pollack-Lee Krasner Foundation fellowship. His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston (MA) and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs (France). His work is in the collections of The Victoria and Albert Museum (UK), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY), and The Corning Museum of Glass (NY).

Posner earned a BA from California State University, Chico, and an MFA from California College of the Arts. Posner died in 2011.
