Taylor Rushing

Taylor Rushing was born in Tacoma, Washington. He earned his BA at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He earned his MFA at UW Madison in May of 2019. He was the first artist-in-residence at Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden in 2016 and at the Bubbler at Madison Public Library in the Spring of 2019.

He has shown work nationally including at the Webb Gallery in Waxahachie, Texas and the Red Bull Art Center in Detroit, MI. He has also worked with clients including the Graduate Hotel franchise, Willie Nelson and Family and Pilchuck Glass School through his illustration business, Not Bad Illustration. He is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia where he whittles in his studio and learns how to grow blue-ribbon watermelon.
