Juta Savage

Juta Savage developed her art career as a ceramist and mixed-media sculptor parallel to an academic career in information and library science. She received her MLS from University of California, Berkeley, and retired from the UC Berkeley Public Health Library in 2004.

Savage had several one-person shows and showed work in numerous group shows nationally. Her ceramic work is in the collection of the Oakland Museum, California, and the Crafts Museum, Riga, Latvia. She taught ceramic workshops and courses at adult schools and universities and was the recipient of two artist residencies.
