Heather Simmons received a MFA in metals from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She has been an instructor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her metalwork utilizes materials such as pewter, silver, feathers, teeth, and steel to reevaluate the context nature finds in art.
