Janet Williams

Originally from England, Janet Williams came to the US to pursue graduate studies at Cranbrook Academy of Art, where she received her MFA. Janet now lives and works in the US.

Williams cofounded Art Farm, a nonprofit artist residency program in Marquette, Nebraska. She has exhibited her works in the US and internationally. She has received numerous awards and residencies including, a Pollock-Krasner Foundation award, McKnight Foundation award, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts residency, and several artist fellowships from the Nebraska Arts Council.

Janet taught ceramics at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln; the Cleveland Institute of Art; and the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, where she is professor emeritus.
