Martha Poggioli

Martha Poggioli, born in Brisbane, Australia, is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist working within design, media, and social discourse. Her practice focuses on the consequences of overlooked systems and objects, and their functions.

Poggioli holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2019) and a BFA from Queensland University of Technology, Australia (2009). She has received numerous awards including the LeRoy Neiman Foundation Ox-Bow Fellowship (2019), the New Arts Society Merit Scholarship (SAIC 2017-19), and a Career Development Grant from the Australia Council for the Arts (2017). Poggioli has exhibited at LVL3 (Chicago), Space P11 (Chicago), Extase (Chicago), RMIT Design Hub (Melbourne), C3 Contemporary Art Space (Melbourne), and Kunstgewerbe-museum (Dresden, Germany).
