Sculpt and shape wet clay as you build pieces by hand. Experiment with a variety of methods to make your pieces one-of-a-kind. Then, learn about firing and ways to add to your creation after firing.

About the instructor:
Taylor Strohmenger is a ceramics artist who graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in May 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts in ceramics and in Spanish. She specializes in decorative raku firing, as well as functional wheel thrown pieces. Through teaching at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Taylor hopes to pass her knowledge and passion for ceramics on to her students.
Early registration is advised as classes and camps can fill quickly. Classes without a minimum enrollment one week prior to the start date will be canceled. In the case of a cancellation, you will be notified a week in advance and will receive a full refund. Places are held only upon receipt of full tuition. Tuition is refundable to an Arts Center gift card minus a $15 processing fee per class up to seven days before a class is to begin. Tuition is nonrefundable after that time. Supplies and equipment costs are included in the tuition unless otherwise noted.
