Youth Ceramics


Saturdays, February 24–March 31
10:00–11:30 a.m.

Sculpt and shape wet clay as you build pieces by hand and learn about throwing on the wheel. Experiment with a variety of methods to make your pieces one-of-a-kind. Then, learn about firing and ways to add to your creation after firing.

About the instructor:

Taylor Strohmenger is a ceramics artist who graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in May 2017 with a bachelor of arts in ceramics and in Spanish. She specializes in decorative raku firing, as well as functional wheel-thrown pieces. Teaching at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Strohmenger hopes to pass on her knowledge and passion for ceramics to her students.
