CoRE Conversations: This is for everyone, right?
During this session, we will unpack the ways that we as individuals and the institutions we support can make sure all people can access the world around them.
The ARTery will be closed to the public until 11:30 to provide a safe space for honest conversations.
CoRE Conversations is a series of facilitated community dialogues that begun as Conversations on Race and Empowerment (CoRE) during an exhibition series in September of 2017 with Dr. Charles Smith and Heather Hart. This exhibition created a space for honest conversations and it was evident there was more to talk about after the exhibition closed in January of 2018. As new series are added each month, dialogue now encompasses the impact of race, gender, sexuality, and power in our country and community. Reverend Lex Cade-White, an experienced facilitator, uses data-driven resources to engage participants in approachable and inclusive discussions through creative expression and self-reflection. This series equips participants with the vocabulary and knowledge needed to further their understanding of privilege and the historical and current relations among diverse groups. The CoRE Conversation series gives tools to empower participants to go out and make a difference in their communities.
