Well-Known Strangers has been entertaining Midwest audiences with a cello infused, alternative pop/rock sound that has a tinge of country in it as well. The band members’ mix of musical knowledge and education provides a unique sound that is reminiscent of familiar of music from the ‘90s while being expressively groundbreaking and melodically rich. Proud supporters of the LGBTQ community and the ongoing battles against cancer and human trafficking, Well-Known Strangers continues to raise awareness of these important issues through community events and their music and art.

Mark Croft’s booming baritone vocals, finely crafted songs, and superior ability on his six-string have garnered him praise as the classic triple-threat. Unafraid to break down genre barriers, Croft takes inspiration from a variety of styles and blends them into his own Roots, Pop & Americana-based approach to songwriting, infusing soulful performances with infectious rhythms and unforgettable melodies.
