Preschool Perspectives

January 15, 2017 — February 19, 2017

This gallery features artwork created by the seventy-five young students enrolled in the Arts Center’s Preschool/Sheboygan Area School District 4K.

Regular visits to the galleries featuring the exhibition series ESCAPE ROUTES fueled the students’ creativity. The collaborative and individual projects led the children to new discoveries about themselves, others, and the world around them, fostering important critical thinking and social-emotional skills along the way.

In the classrooms, studios, theatre, galleries, and outdoors, the three- to five-year-olds learn and explore through both guided and independent activities that nurture their creative spirit. Art comes to life through literacy– reading and observing and reflecting on those experiences through oral, written, Spanish and American Sign Language, and visual arts explorations as well as creative movement, yoga, drama, music, and play.

Celebrate the joy of learning through the arts in this display of early childhood creativity, development, expression, and growth, and discover the inimitable perspective of the young child.
