Constructing the Art Preserve
9:00–10:00 a.m.

If one were to construct a building to house a singular collection of artist-built environments, what might it require? What form would it take? What special requirements need to be considered? With the construction of the Arts Center’s new Art Preserve on the horizon, these questions, and more, have been central to the discussions of those designing it. This session brought together some of those who have been working to design and develop the Art Preserve building. They shared their creative processes, the challenges and solutions, and opened up a dialogue regarding the future of the John Michael Kohler Art’s Center’s collection.

Moderator: Sam Gappmayer
Panelists:   Architects from tres birds workshop
