Stretch your imagination and have some hands-on fun with exhibition-inspired projects in our free studio. Drop in anytime during posted hours and collaborate on community works of art. Children under the age of ten must be accompanied by an adult.

The ARTery is open for collaborative art making when the Arts Center is open. Visitors can participate in the self-guided projects in the room when the doors are open. For additional projects, materials, and staff guidance, drop in during our Facilitated Art Making hours.

Facilitated Art Making hours:
Mondays and Fridays: 12:00–5:00 p.m.
Thursdays (June 20-August 22): 11:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays: 12:00–3:00 p.m.

In The ARTery, you will get the opportunity to work alongside visiting artists in one of our Make & Take, Maker Break, Exhibition Artists-in-Residence (ExAIR), or Connecting Communities workshops. During these special events, you can experience the different ways artists use materials and think about their work.

Projects are supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Funding was also provided by the Kohler Trust for the Arts and Education, Kohler Foundation, Inc., Sargento Foods Inc. and Frederic Cornell Kohler Charitable Trust. The Arts Center thanks its many members for their support of exhibitions and programs through the year.
