September 15–December 14, 2019
Talia Mukmel combines historical and present objects to create new materials and textures. Mukmel earned her bachelor’s degree in The Industrial Design Department at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. She is completing her master's degree in the faculty of Arts at Tel Aviv University.
Mukmel is interested in exploring the bonds that people create with the objects to which they are emotionally attached. She focuses on materials and objects that fill our daily life and defines them from a new approach. Her recent work was exhibited at the XXII International Triennale di Milano: "Broken Nature," curated by Paola Antoneli, at the Design Museum Holon and in the 2019 Tokyo Design week.
