Science and art are human attempts to understand and describe the world around us. Using the knowledge you have of science, technology, visual art, and music, develop a creative theory about something that could be experienced in the future. Join us in turning the idea of a science fair on its head in this open-call creative event. Consider what our world might look like in the future, invent new concepts or technologies that express or portray your vision.

All ages are invited to participate and submit as individuals or as a group.

For inspiration, visit and explore our exhibition Out, Out, Phosphene Candle, created by artists Joy Feasley and Paul Swenbeck. The idea for their exhibition came to them in a dream that Feasley had. In the dream, she saw a mysterious creature moving through a series of rooms. The environment was clearly futuristic, possibly a spacecraft, and each room was designed to study the unseen forces that propel the human race forward. This extraterrestrial being was trying to dissect the aspects of humanity that we as humans know as inexplicable, among them love, hope, and divinity.

Each participant may submit 1 entry.
