ExAIR: Bringing art to life in new ways
Have you ever looked at a work of art and wished the artist were at your side to discuss what inspired it and the techniques used? ExAIR (Exhibition Artists-in-Residence) offers opportunities to meet and work with renowned artists, to learn more about the art in the galleries, and to explore your own creative potential.
LAUREN FENSTERSTOCK
April 1–14
This spring, ExAIR brings artist Lauren Fensterstock to the Arts Center. Her installation Celebration of Formal Effects Whether Natural or Artificial—one of four in the UNCOMMON GROUND series of exhibitions— will present a lush, sculptural garden created with quilled and cut paper.
In Fenstertocks’s hands-on workshops, you can learn some of the fascinating paper manipulation techniques used to create the installation. For more information, call the Arts Center at 920-458-6144.
The Exhibition Artists-in-Residence program is supported by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
