Molly King received her BA in dance and her teaching certification at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Having studied various classical disciplines of dance, King found her passion in ballet, modern, contemporary, and community-based forms (such as folk dance, hip-hop, yoga, and creative movement). King is a registered yoga teacher [RYT 200] with Yoga Alliance. She received her MA in special education at Cardinal Stritch University. She has taught for Étude Group schools in Sheboygan for seventeen years. Throughout her career, King has taught a variety of classes for the community including mommy + me yoga, adult ballet, and site-based dance workshops.

Outside of teaching, she is an active performer for a German folk dance group in Milwaukee, Pommersche Tanzdeel Freistadt. King enjoys traveling and attending musical concerts with her husband, Zach. However, King’s most important role in life is being a mom to her two daughters, Nora and Rosalie. She hopes her love of dance will continue with them.

Personal Dance Philosophy
My personal educational philosophy is rooted in accessibility for all students. As a dance educator, I believe movement should be available for all bodies. My instruction accommodates my students’ learning capabilities and varying strengths. I provide a safe space that empowers nondancers to take risks and express themselves, stretching their comfort zone. I challenge the dedicated dancers to grow through critical feedback and leadership opportunities. I enable students to explore their body as an instrument of communication and expression through a variety of dance techniques. My instruction places emphasis on examining the role of dance through the creative process.
