Celebrate the wealth of inspiration and creativity found where art and industry intersect during our Work in Progress opening event!
Experience new exhibitions. Enjoy hands-on art making. Connect with current and past Arts/Industry artists. Festivities will also include entertainment, demonstrations, and conversation. Light refreshments will be available.
The Arts/Industry residency program brings artists into studios in the Kohler Co. factory to create new works of art, working side-by-side with Kohler associates. More than 500 artists have participated in this world-renowned collaboration between the Arts Center and Kohler Co. since its founding in 1974.
The Arts Center’s yearlong Work in Progress theme showcases the residency experience and the value of collaboration and experimentation—from the first artworks created in the residency to work by current artists-in-residence to opportunities to engage with artists through workshops and demonstrations.
Arts/Industry is a unique collaboration between the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and Kohler Co. This residency program is administered by the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and generously hosted and funded by Kohler Co. Additional support for the 50th Anniversary of Arts/Industry is provided by the Mellon Foundation.
