Youth Art Month 2022

March 6–April 3, 2022
Youth Art Month: Art as Activism installation view at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, 2021.

The thirty-sixth annual Youth Art Month exhibition showcases exceptional student artwork from Sheboygan County and beyond. Works featured have been selected by educators from area elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as other youth-serving organizations.

Among the wide variety of subjects and themes represented, there are pieces inspired by the Arts Center’s collection and exhibitions. The works on view, created by student artists of wide ranging backgrounds and ages, reveal the compelling diversity of voices, passions, and perspectives among area youth. They also demonstrate the power of art as a means of exploring new ideas and as an outlet for personal expression.

Youth Art Month 2022 is supported by the Kohler Trust for Arts and Education, the Frederic Cornell Kohler Charitable Trust, Kohler Foundation, Inc., and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
