General Info

Since 1967, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center Preschool has provided a high quality, engaging, arts-based education program for children age three to five.

The Arts Center’s unique curriculum provides a foundation for reading, writing, math, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. With a focus on learning through the visual arts, music,

and movement with an emphasis throughout the program on socialization skills, children acquire a love of learning while learning how to respect themselves, others, and our world.

Preschool students at the Arts Center have the amazing opportunity to visit the galleries, attend performances, and work with visual and performing guest artists. The Preschool is state licensed, and the curriculum aligns with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards.

The classes for three-year-olds are tuition-based and scholarships are available. The teachers welcome children into their first “classroom” experience.

The 4K Yellow Class is a partnership with the Sheboygan Area School District and is tuition-free. The teachers encourage the children to build on their early learning experiences and prepare for kindergarten and life.
